PRINCE2 SIMPLE QUALITY REVIEWS
WHAT ARE THEY?
A Quality Review is used to ensure that a product conforms to its Product Description. The purpose of the Quality Review is to identify and agree any shortcomings found in the product and to organise any remedial action that is required.
HOW DO WE DECIDE WHAT TO REVIEW ?
All the products developed by the project team will be Quality Reviewed. Two methods of Quality Review are used, informal and formal. The method of review to be used is decided by the Project Manager and the Project Assurance
Function. The informal review is the more common where the product is checked by another member of the project team who was not involved in its development. Formal reviews are carried out on important products by a number of independent reviewers.
THE ROLES IN THE FORMAL REVIEW PROCESS
Chairman of the Review: (An independent person)
The Presenter: (The person/s who developed the product)
The Reviewers: (Experienced users of this sort of product)
THE OUTPUTS
The following documents are produced for both informal and formal reviews:
A list of the errors found.
A list of the follow up actions needed.
A certificate or statement that the product has passed or failed the review.

ABOUT THE BLOG
